Just came across this recipe, after craving lemon-ginger marmelade. I referenced the ingredients against a few other recipes, and went with the rule of thumb for sugar that my grandmother taught me: same as fruit content.

1 cup lemon, 1 cup ginger, and 2.5 cups of water make 4.5 cups of "fruit content", so I used only ***4.5 cups of sugar***. The marmelade came out perfectly, and is plenty of sweet. The texture is not stick-your-spoon-in-it stiff, but delightfully light like a soft jelly with lots of zest and shredded ginger/lemon pieces submerged. It doesn't run off my morning toast. It's simply perfect!

I have the entire collection myself and all in their original boxes. Like you, these dolls were precious to me. When I was young, they were lined up on a shelf....out of the box. Their boxes were tucked neatly under my bed so they wouldn't get damaged.
When I got re-married, one of my stepsons found my collection in the attic and stole the twins out of their box and took it to his little sister at their moms house. I was furious and still to this day never got them back. I did come across them on an online auction recently and lost by $1. They sold, in box, for $26!
To bring ya down memory lane more, I have a Holly Hobbie and a Heather Hobby rag doll. They got ruined in the wash one year and so I very hesitantly threw them in the trash. My husband saw my deep anguish and secretly took them out, had my MIL sew them back together and surprised me with them for Christmas that year. I instantly cried. My girls were back for good! Oh the memories of childhood!

I am downsizing and have my daughter's Strawberry Shortcake doll house that is in perfect condition. It looks like a closet or wardrobe but was called a doll house. We also have many dolls and other pieces that I may be interested in selling when my oldest granddaughter outgrows her interest in the set. Do you have any suggestions besides ebay?
